4 families, 4 reasons for travel, 1 incredible experience
This week, I had the pleasure of hosting 3 separate families on a 7 night Alaskan cruise aboard the Norwegian Bliss.
One family was a couple married for 33 years looking to getaway on a well deserved bucket list trips with some friends. The next family was a mother and son, traveling together to share some quality time. The 3rd family was 3 generations of family coming together to celebrate birthdays, create fun memories and just all come together for a happy, festive and adventurous trip. A party of 13 with two not being blood family but with their special bond with one of the family members, they were just as much family as the others.
And finally the 4th family. The one that ties this all together a husband and wife team married for 9 years, friends to all 3 families and their travel agents who love traveling and hosting trips like these
What started as 4 families traveling together for their own separate reasons ended up being 19 people experiences something special together.
The difference in their ethnic and religious backgrounds, their personality traits, the difference in their reasons for traveling and the difference in their family dynamics is what made this trip special for all the families in the most positive way.
The youths bringing the curious energetic and no fear mentality to the group brought the life to the group. While the older travelers were other to guide the youth while checking off bucket list things they were finally getting a chance to do. This blend of families, old friends and new acquaintances made this trip incredibly special.
Seeing these 19 people 4 families eat, dance, adventure, laugh together, share experiences and just grow to care for each other for those 7 days. Creating new memories, new experiences, new friendships, stronger relationships is what makes my being a travel agent so special.
With so many differences between these 4 families and 19 travelers it’s incredible how their differences made this trip incredibly special and each personality added just the right touch to make this a fun, exciting, valuable learning experience for each person.
Not only do we get to help people get away from all the craziness their world and this world has to offer, we help them get closer to the people they truly desire to be.
